Our Story

Festive Hill Winery was born from a deep love of the land, a passion for exceptional wine, and a desire to create a place where people could gather, celebrate, enjoy great wine, food and music, and make lasting memories. Situated in the Northernmost corner  of Oregon's Willamette Valley, our estate at 20100 SW Johnson Rd has grown from a dream into a destination — a place where every visit feels like a celebration.

From our earliest harvests back in 2016 to today, we have remained committed to crafting wines that reflect the unique character of our terroir and the warmth of our community. We are proud to share our estate with guests from near and far, welcoming you into our story with every glass poured.

The Vineyard & Estate

Our onsite vineyards are the heart of everything we do; all of our grapes are grown onsite and our wine is made in our own wine production facility on the 20 acre estate.

The Willamette Valley's cool climate, volcanic soils, and long growing seasons create ideal conditions for growing world-class wine grapes. We tend our vines with care and intention, believing that great wine begins in the vineyard. 

Beyond the vines, our estate is a place of beauty and leisure. Relax and enjoy spectacular views on our sunset decks. Stroll through the vineyard rows, take in panoramic views of the valley, or enjoy a round of golf on our scenic on-site golf course — a rare and wonderful complement to a day of wine tasting.

Our Wines

We craft a portfolio of estate wines that showcase the diversity and elegance of the Willamette Valley. Our lineup includes:

• Pinot Noir — silky, expressive, and quintessentially Willamette Valley
• Chardonnay — rich and balanced, with a beautiful sense of place
• Riesling — aromatic and vibrant, with refreshing acidity
• Tempranillo — bold and distinctive, a testament to our adventurous spirit
• Pinot Gris — crisp and food-friendly, perfect for any occasion
• Gewurztraminer - fragrant and tart with a slight spiciness

Our Winemaking Philosophy

We believe that the best wines are made with minimal intervention and maximum respect for the fruit. Our approach is rooted in sustainable farming, careful hand-harvesting, and thoughtful winemaking that lets the character of each vintage shine through.

We don't chase trends — we chase balance, complexity, and wines that are a true expression of this remarkable place we call home.

Meet the Team

At the center of our winemaking program is Alex, our talented and dedicated winemaker. With a deep understanding of the Willamette Valley's unique growing conditions and an unwavering commitment to quality, Alex brings both artistry and precision to every vintage. Under Alex's guidance, our wines have earned a reputation for elegance, consistency, and a genuine sense of place.

Behind every great wine is a passionate team — from our vineyard crew who tend the vines through every season, to our tasting room staff who welcome you with warmth and knowledge. We are a family in every sense of the word, and we are grateful to share what we love with you.

Owners, Maggie & Ron Berrett settled down on the 20 acres estate in 2011, and they began planting grapes in 2014, adding acres of vines in grape varieties over the years to arrive at the 16.5 acres of vineyards on-site today. 
The Berretts have been involved in the "festivity" of life for many decades. Ron's grandparents started "Startups Catering" in 1954 in Pasadena, California, and one of Ron's earliest memories as a 5-year-old boy is: mixing fruit punch with his grandfather, and then wearing a tuxedo with a bow tie as he refilled the punch bowl at the parties his grandparents catered.  
Ron and Maggie spent years as caterers themselves, so wine was always a passion of theirs. When they became the owners of the 20-acre, West Linn estate, creating a winery felt like a destiny fulfilled.

Festive Hill is more than a winery — it's a destination. We host intimate dinner shows featuring local musical talent, creating evenings that are as memorable as the wines themselves. Our stunning event spaces are available for weddings, private parties, and corporate gatherings, offering a backdrop that is both breathtaking and uniquely Oregon.
